The flatpak version is fine but it's kinda odd that Signal is on the 'front page' of the store but it's for a really old version Ubuntu slaps this driver right onto the ISO (that’s what is used to flash the distro to a USB stick) now, and others download and install it while the OS itself is installing. There are enough useful back end packages installed by default to make the system useable for normal use right after the installation of the base distro. Pop OS takes the elegant and simplistic Gnome desktop environment and adds a number of improvements to improve workflow, further secure the desktop and give it a more functional and beautiful appearance.
